About Sophie
My future students would be passionate about something they want to do in the future (be it a scientist or an actor!) as this would allow me to work the subject around their favourite things. Kids learn best when they enjoy the work, so having a child who is passionate about a hobby or sport allows you to tailor the context questions to something they would enjoy answering.

I enjoy working 1 to 1 with students identifying the weakest areas first and observing them work to gather which approach would be best for them. Having worked with children for the past 7 years, I have learnt each child is very different but all need confidence in order to do their best work. Therefore I use positive reinforcement and my own experience in academia to tutor. The lessons will include a review, walked through example and then assisted questions until the child is happy with the topic.
