About Trevor
I am an experienced and supportive maths tutor with a background as both a university lecturer and an RAF mathematics teacher. I explain difficult concepts clearly, adapting my approach to suit each student’s needs and learning style. In my previous private tutoring work, every student achieved the goals they had set, whether improving confidence, strengthening their understanding or gaining the results they needed.

I have successfully tutored students in maths and related numerate subjects. My lessons are friendly, patient and carefully adapted to each student’s ability, learning style and goals. I explain difficult ideas clearly, identify gaps in knowledge and help students develop reliable problem-solving techniques.
Whether a student needs to catch up, prepare for an examination, strengthen a particular topic or progress beyond the classroom syllabus, I provide structured and encouraging support. My aim is not simply to help students find the correct answer, but to give them the confidence and understanding to solve future problems independently.
