About Lara
I’m a recent graduate in Data Science from DCU, where I studied a range of modules in calculus, calculus of several variables, linear mathematics, probability and statistics. Previously, I received 89% in higher level math in my leaving certificate (Irish equivalent of advanced math in VCE). I’ve always had a strong interest in math, and I understand how challenging it can feel at times. During my final year, I worked on applying mathematical concepts to real-world data, which really helped solidify my understanding of these topics. I’ve also taught math to a couple of secondary school students, one at a higher level and the other at ordinary level. I know that each student learns differently, so I focus on breaking concepts down into simpler steps to ensure everything clicks. Whether you’re looking to build confidence with basic concepts or dive into more complex problems, I’m here to explain things in a way that works best for you.

The lessons I provide aren’t your typical textbook-based classes. Instead, my main goal is to support you as you prepare for exams or get a deeper understanding of the material. Before each session, I’d love to chat with you about any specific areas you’re struggling with or topics you want to focus on, so we can make the most of our time together.
We’ll work through sample papers, tackle tricky problems, and I’ll be there to guide you every step of the way. If needed, I can create practice questions on the spot to help reinforce what we’ve covered. My aim is to make maths less stressful and more manageable, helping you feel confident and ready for any challenges ahead!
