I foster a love of learning and my goal is to maximise a student's chance of achieving their full potential in the exam. A strong grade in mathematics is fundamental to so many future career options. I have over five years of experience in tutoring GCSE and A-level mathematics to students ranging from year 7 to year 13, both online and in person. I graduated with a master's degree in Mathematical Physics from Southampton University in 2022 before completing my PGCE in Secondary Mathematics at Cambridge University in 2023. As a fully-qualified maths teacher, I am DBS checked and up to date with the curriculum. From my recent teacher training, I regularly use the current best teaching methods to ensure students get the most out of my lessons. My sessions are typically 1 to 1.5 hours long. I tailor each session to the specific needs of the individual student, whether the focus is on a topic a student needs to work on or on exam-style questions/exam technique. I walk through a topic in small, connected steps ensuring that the student has grasped the concept at hand before building on it in more depth and complexity. The structure of my lessons allows plenty of time for the student to ask questions and practise skills independently.
