About Anushka

I am a dedicated and enthusiastic student with a strong academic background and a genuine passion for Maths and English. Having recently achieved excellent GCSE results, I understand the challenges students face throughout their education and the importance of having the right support to build both knowledge and confidence.

I want to teach because I genuinely enjoy helping others learn and seeing students progress. I find it particularly rewarding when I can take a topic that initially seems difficult and explain it in a simple, understandable way. I believe that every student learns differently, which is why I aim to make my lessons engaging, supportive and tailored to each individual.

I have previous tutoring experience, including helping my younger brother prepare for his 11+ examinations, particularly in Maths and English. This experience taught me the importance of patience, clear explanations and adapting lessons to suit the learner.

I want my lessons to be more than just academic support. I aim to help students become more confident in their abilities, develop independent problem-solving skills and enjoy learning. Whether a student needs help preparing for an exam, strengthening their understanding of a particular topic or simply wants to challenge themselves further, I am committed to helping them reach their goals.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed to be engaging, personalised and focused on helping each student make genuine progress. I offer Maths and English tutoring for students from 11+ through to GCSE, adapting every lesson to the individual student’s ability, learning style and goals.

I believe that tutoring should be about more than simply completing worksheets. My lessons focus on developing a strong understanding of the subject, building confidence and teaching students how to approach unfamiliar questions independently. I take time to identify areas where a student may be struggling and then break challenging concepts down into clear, manageable steps.

For Maths, lessons can cover everything from strengthening core skills and tackling difficult topics to practising exam-style questions and improving problem-solving techniques. For English, I can support students with reading comprehension, creative and analytical writing, grammar, vocabulary, essay structure and exam technique.

I have previous experience tutoring younger students, including supporting my brother with his 11+ preparation in both Maths and English. Having recently completed my own GCSEs with excellent results, I understand the challenges students face and can provide guidance that is relevant to the current curriculum and examinations.

My aim is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and learning from them. Whether a student needs help catching up, preparing for an important exam or simply wants to push themselves further, I will tailor lessons to help them achieve their individual goals and reach their full potential.
