About Ewan
Being the oldest of three siblings I have plenty of first-hand experience helping others learn tricky subjects prior to tutoring and now I have spent time with several others on their journey. I enjoy helping people learn as I think it's key to give back knowledge and wisdom to others however you can. I like to keep my knowledge sharp and tutoring and helping others is a great way to make sure I keep my skills up and practise helping people to reach their potential. In the future I hope to complete a Physics PhD so making sure myself and others are the best they can be in skills relating to my subject area is a passion of mine.

Lessons will be 1 hour via Zoom. During sessions I like to get the student solving problems and applying what they know as quick as they can handle, this way it consolidates in their memory. I will ask them to explain their thought process as they go so I know they are approaching the subject in a way that makes sense for them. If a student gets stuck I go through the theory or technique in the appropriate level of detail, but I do my best to make sure the student discovers the solutions for themselves so it sticks with them. I always make sure to tailor each session directly to each student so that they feel both comfortable and engaged.

Ewan is the most amazing tutor. He's incredibly patient with every concept he teaches and makes sure that the student understands the concept before moving on. He also ensures that practice questions are done during the lesson so that the knowledge is applied and gives a lot of helpful advice on how to answer questions. If a student has any problems outside lessons with practice questions, he is prompt with answers and ensures that the student understands how the answer has come about. Overall, he's an incredible tutor who is extremely helpful!
