About Theo
Hello everyone! I am a native Danish speaker currently studying linguistics at Cambridge. I speak French and German fluently and accent-free having spent much of my childhood in both countries, and have 2 years' experience tutoring both of these languages. I have a broad range of experience having taught GCSE-age schoolchildren up to adult learners of French, and I enjoy helping my learners to make rapid progress through a casual and conversational approach that highlights the grammatical, phonetic and sociolinguistic fundamentals of their new languages. Through Alumni Tutoring, the company that I established to promote affordable student-to-student tutoring, I gained further hands-on experience tutoring GCSE and A-level maths, and I have learnt to produce resources and instructive lessons that succinctly and comprehensibly walk students through areas of difficulty. Theo was a very informative and personable tutor who helped me to improve my French speaking and reading skills greatly.
Theo was an excellent tutor for Alumni Tutoring, able to teach a broad range of subjects including French, German, Danish and Mathematics. This berth of teaching ability greatly helped us as a growing agency. He furthered helped this growth by adding more tutees to our customer base, on one accession he began teaching a student Maths and was so valued by the family Theo also began to tutor her brother and even the student’s mother in French! Unlike many highly intelligent tutors, Theo is personable and therefore able to build a strong rapport with his students thus meaning he manages to retain them for far longer than our agency’s average.
