About Lydia
I have 13 years of teaching experience and hold a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics. Throughout my career, I have guided school students, university learners, and competitive examination candidates toward achieving stronger mathematical understanding and improved academic performance. I enjoy helping students replace anxiety with confidence through patient instruction and consistent encouragement.
One learner struggled with algebra because earlier gaps in understanding made advanced topics seem overwhelming. We revisited the fundamentals, practiced gradually increasing levels of difficulty, and celebrated every milestone along the way. Within one academic term, the student significantly improved examination results and developed genuine confidence in solving mathematical problems independently.

I begin by identifying each student's academic goals, confidence level, and understanding of previous mathematical concepts before planning future lessons. This ensures every learner builds new knowledge upon a strong foundation. Each class combines conceptual understanding with practical problem-solving strategies.
Algebra is introduced through logical patterns that help students understand relationships rather than memorize formulas. Geometry lessons use visual models, diagrams, and real-life applications to strengthen spatial reasoning and analytical thinking. Calculus concepts are presented step by step so learners develop confidence while solving increasingly complex problems.
Statistics and probability are explained using practical examples from science, economics, sports, and everyday decision-making to demonstrate the value of mathematics beyond the classroom.
