About Jacob
I am an undergraduate at the University of Oregon. I have been tutoring math privately and through tutoring organizations for four years now, and through that experience I have honed the ability to teach any concept a student might run into in a typical math sequence. I have loved math ever since I was little and have a passion for sharing it in a way that makes sense.

Math students generally go about their time trying to memorize formulas that don't make any sense to them. This makes math boring, frustrating, and impossible to understand. I teach math in a way that is intuitive. Everything has a reason in the world of numbers, and I show students that. Time and time again, students tell me how much they wish their teacher would have explained it the way I explain it, the way that just makes sense. I live for the "aha" moments my students frequently have. I teach all levels of math through calculus.
