I’m a teacher with a Master of Education and over 10 years of teaching experience in both Alberta and Ontario. I also have several years of tutoring experience, working one-on-one with students to build confidence, strengthen foundational skills, and support academic success. My approach is personalized, supportive, and focused on helping each child thrive at their own pace.

My tutoring approach is student-centered, supportive, and rooted in over a decade of classroom experience. A typical lesson includes a quick review of previous concepts, a focused mini-lesson on a specific skill (e.g., organizing a paragraph, decoding strategies, or grammar), followed by guided practice and independent application. I incorporate games, visuals, writing prompts, and real-world texts to keep learning meaningful and enjoyable.

What sets me apart is my dual background in both classroom teaching and one-on-one instruction, as well as my Diploma in Language and Literacy. I bring deep expertise in teaching writing and literacy at the and a calm, patient presence that helps students feel comfortable taking risks and making progress.
