About Sakeenah
Hello! My name is Sakeenah, and I am a dedicated and enthusiastic tutor with over five years of experience helping students aged 4–16 reach their full potential. I am currently studying Architecture at the University of Reading, where I have developed strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills that I bring into every lesson.
I specialise in 11+ Maths and English as well as GCSE Maths and English, providing personalised lessons that are engaging, supportive, and tailored to each student's individual needs. I believe that every child is capable of success when they are taught in a way that suits their learning style and are given the confidence to believe in themselves.
Alongside private tutoring, I have worked as a Teaching Assistant in nurseries, mainstream educational settings, and specialist SEN schools. I also have experience tutoring children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), allowing me to adapt my teaching methods to support a wide range of learning styles and abilities. My calm, patient, and encouraging approach helps students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in their own abilities.

I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to suit their individual learning style, strengths, and areas for development. My aim is not only to improve academic performance but also to build confidence, resilience, and a genuine enjoyment of learning in a supportive and encouraging environment where every child feels valued.
For 11+ Maths and English, I focus on developing strong foundations before introducing exam-style questions, reasoning techniques where required, and effective exam strategies. Lessons are engaging, interactive, and structured, combining clear explanations, guided practice, independent tasks, and regular progress reviews to ensure steady improvement.
I also tutor GCSE Maths and English, adapting my teaching to each student's ability and pace. Whether a student needs support with core concepts, exam preparation, or increasing their confidence, I provide personalised lessons that are designed to help them succeed.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes, although I am happy to offer shorter or longer sessions depending on the student's age and individual needs.
I am currently a University Student and have over five years of tutoring experience, teaching students aged 4 to 16. Alongside tutoring, I have worked as a Teaching Assistant in nurseries, mainstream educational settings, and specialist SEN schools, giving me valuable experience supporting children with a wide range of learning needs and abilities.
