About Sorcha
I am a Melbourne-based jazz/session guitarist, songwriter, and producer. I have 12 years of teaching experience and have collaborated and toured with many artists, including RocKwiz Live, Harvey Sutherland, The Meltdown, and ARIA award-winning band All Our Exes Live in Texas. I perform regularly with my band The Sorcha Albuquerque Trio and my original compositions are featured on two ABC jazz releases. I have performed as a sideperson at festivals including Montreux Jazz Festival, Splendour In The Grass, Bluesfest, and Falls Festival, and outside of music am passionate about yoga and mindfulness practice. I am particularly passionate about teaching improvisation, and songwriting, and how to integrate mindfulness into your musical practice.

Clear, concise, and non-intimidating. I ensure that my students develop a solid musical foundation. My lessons are tailored to your individual needs and musical goals and will leave you feeling inspired and motivated! I offer 30 min, 45, or 1-hour lessons from my home in Thornbury or online. Lessons include a personalized practice schedule, PDF materials, and email correspondence between lessons. All ages and levels are welcome.
