About Nicole
Our program is tailored to individual strengths, weaknesses, fears, abilities, and goals.
Whether goals are upper level eventing, trail riding, Fox hunting or Dressage... Our instructors have the skills and experience to make it happen.
We understand the needs of people who want to focus on mental health, and fitness goals.
We travel to local competitions, trail rides, Fox Hunting, horse shows and events.
We also have a Pony Pact Academy and Show Team that accepts riders who demonstrate a willingness to honor the, "The Pony Pact" which is a promise to always be a horseman, team-mate, and social ambassador for the sport through appropriate displays of etiquette and sportsmanship.
As the daughter of a trainer I grew up watching My Mom, Elly. She rode for Countess Gyruky before I was born. Mom took me to work in a stroller. As I grew... riding just sort of happened. At first I just rode little ponies, but over time I graduated to horses and more extensive showing. Mom was my coach until she passed away in 2017.
Under her instruction... Nicole won numerous competitions from Hunter/Jumpers to Equitation. She evented at the preliminary level and rode a breeding stallion who finished 5th for the region.
Nicole started and trained numerous Hungarian foals and managed her breeding program, as well as, successfully retraining many off the track thoroughbreds (OTTB)
Nicole traveled to Germany and expanded my knowledge base by seeking instruction in Dressage from Olympic level Equestrians.
Nicole has a Master's in Public Administration and approximately 35 years in horse business. Nicole has trained with some of the most world renowned ridings including U.S. Olympic Team Coach Capt. Mark Phillips.
She studied Dressage in Germany and combines what she learned from her mentor Countess Gyruky who was a Hungarian Countess that won the 1936 Olympic Trials side saddle.
This unique perspective provides students with an indepth, problem solving approach to horse and rider.

Interview to determine goals.
Evaluate previous experience.
Identify weakness and Strengths.
Develop customize program based on information recieved.
I have worked with special needs students including autistic, and mental retardation. I also enjoy working with people who are riding with fear induced anxiety or adults returning to riding after attending college and/or having kids.
I always say, talk to the horses. They speak volumes if you know how to listen. Iife as a lesson horse can be hard and sometimes the horses look like it. Check their hooves. What do you see? Cracks? Shoes? Does horse have shoes on all four feet? Look at their coat. Is it shiny? (Denoting good nutrition) or rough and dry.
Watch the riding. Are riders learning not to pull on horse mouth but use their legs to stay on? Are they being taught what to do with their legs?
Safety? Is rider wearing a helmet? Do horses appear suitable for a lesson program?
How many students are in one class? When there's to many individual attention gets over looked.
And a big one for me... tone...vibe... energy... is it a happy place? Do the horses, people and barn animals seem happy?
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What are your goals? Why do you want to learn how to ride? What do you hope to experience?
