About Glynis
An experienced French and German teacher, I have a wealth of ideas and materials for making the demands of current exam board requirements more achievable. Friendly and flexible, I look for ways to make language learning a positive experience so that students gain in confidence and motivation. I have lived in France and Germany and speak both languages to near native level. I love languages, and hope I can pass that passion onto you!
I have been teaching for over twenty years and my results speak for themselves: every year my classes' results have been in the top 20 of state schools in the UK. Last year my A2 class achieved 100% A-C (20 pupils), and my A/S class 97% A-C (32 pupils). I am familiar with all exam boards and have experience of conducting oral exams, marking GCSE oral exams for exam boards (giving great insight into how to gain those marks!) and examining at French A Level. I have a wealth of resources from beginner through to KS3, GCSE and A Level, and have written study guides for GCSE German and A Level French set texts.
