About Sheng
I'm a dedicated tutor with over 5 years of experience, where I’ve helped numerous students significantly improve their grades — many of whom have gone on to become top performers themselves using my personalized notes and strategies. As a top student myself, I understand the pressure and expectations that come with academic success. That’s why I focus not just on teaching content, but on making sure students truly understand the material and know exactly how to approach questions, especially in IGCSE exams. My lessons are designed to be both effective and engaging, using interactive techniques like guided quizzes, exam-based practice, and clear breakdowns of marking schemes. I’ve been tutoring since 2022, with over 4 years of experience helping IGCSE students in Computer Science, English, and Mathematics. My lessons have supported a wide range of learners — including top-performing students — and I bring the same high standard I applied as a top student myself.
My teaching method focuses first on deep understanding of the topic, then guiding students to connect what they learn with personal experiences or real-life contexts. Once the concept is clear, I help them master the marking scheme, especially for IGCSE-style structured answers, so they can score effectively.
I keep lessons interactive and engaging, often using quizzes, games, and practice tests to reinforce memory and check understanding in a fun, low-pressure way.
Each lesson typically lasts 60 to 90 minutes, conducted online. Lessons are designed for IGCSE-level or SPM-level students (generally ages 13–17) who want to strengthen their core understanding, answer with confidence, and improve their exam skills.
