About Simon
I've been teaching History & Classical studies at both JC & LC for 10 years & love both subjects. I've been the first teacher in my school to engage with the new JC History, JC Classics & LC Classical Studies courses. I also with with the PDST to support other teachers in teaching these subjects.

I prefer a dialogic based teaching experience that focuses on discussion, supported by notes. I think students learn better in a relaxed, conversational environment, rather than being lectured at. I've done online & in person tuition for years, as well as full time teaching. I've been teaching History & Classics for the last 10 years at Junior & Leaving Cert Level. I provide notes, PowerPoints & will correct essays along with tuition. I've developed the Schemes of Work for the new JC Classics course, JC History course & LC Classics course in my own school & have been the first to teach each one of them. I also work with the PDST, a government body which works to upskill & inform teachers with regards to engaging with the specifications of these courses.
