About Cam
I have a background in high school-focused tuition. This means I have spent several years engaged with the senior NCEA curriculum, going through exams and internals alike. Originally from Southland, I have supported students all over the country, including Christchurch, Auckland, and here in Wellington. I've loved teaching for as long as I can remember. There is something so special about helping students unlock their potential and understand what they're capable of. The shifts in perspective I've seen have been astounding - the awesome grades are a bonus.

Mathematics can be challenging. Teachers can move quickly, content can get murky, and concepts can be hard to grasp in the moment. Students can often feel left in the dark! I pride myself on my ability to relate to students, expressing complex information in simple terms. My structured approach to teaching ensures we fill the gaps together for a strong foundational understanding - unlocking those so-called "lightbulb" moments. Not only will you be equipped to pass your exams, it's my hope that through tuition you'll also find enjoyment in this wonderful subject. Lessons will be tailored completely to your needs and style of learning. In the past, I've found a mixture of discussion and teaching moments paired with practice exercises tends to work best. We'll ensure a range of relevant content is covered, preparing you to face exams with confidence!
