With over 12 years of experience as a guitarist and teacher, I offer a wealth of expertise in various musical styles, including classical, jazz, rock, and funk. Conversely, if the focus is on jazz or rock, we could start with improvisation and genre-specific techniques. This initial assessment helps tailor the lesson plan to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
The core of the lesson typically involves a mix of technique practice and musical application. Techniques such as finger positioning, strumming patterns, and chord transitions are practiced through targeted exercises. For example, classical guitar lessons might include scale practice and etudes, while rock and funk lessons might focus on rhythm guitar and solos.
