About Tara
My name is Tara and I’m an experienced, friendly and patient maths tutor. I am a Bachelor of Science graduate of Massey University and I also hold a bachelor’s degree from Auckland University of Technology.
I currently tutor students one-on-one from year 2 to year 10, both in-person and online. My students come from various schools including Kristin, Murrays Bay School, Murrays Bay Intermediate, Rangitoto College, Campbells Bay School, Wairau Intermediate, Westlake Girls, St Joseph's School, Takapuna Primary, Belmont Intermediate, Takapuna Grammar. and Baradene College.
Tutoring is my choice of career and I’ve tutored for a range of companies, including Tutoring For Excellence, 121 Tutors and Achieve Centres for Education (formly Kip McGrath Glenfield). My approach to tutoring focuses on identifying individual student learning styles and developing customised study plans that cater to specific student needs.
Just as importantly I provide a positive learning environment for students, where they have the support and guidance needed to help them gain confidence and reach their academic goals.

The first free lesson with Tara will allow you to get to know each other and clearly specify your needs for your next lessons.
- 30mins
Details
First lesson price is $30 (30 min free), prices are then $60/hour.
Prices include preparing individualised tutorials, providing homework and worksheets, going through tests/exams and travel to nearby locations on the North Shore.
Locations I can travel to are Campbells Bay, Castor Bay, Forrest Hill, Milford and Takapuna Library. I also provide online tutorials via Zoom.
