About Megan
I am a friendly and personable First Class Politics and International Relations Graduate. Receiving my Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from the University of Strathclyde in 2020, I was awarded both the Best Student in Year and Best Dissertation Prizes.
I am offering tutoring, essay writing support, and proofreading services across the subjects of Politics, International Relations, and History. I can provide help to students from KS2/National 4 level through to University level. My expertise within Politics lies in International Conflict and Security, Foreign Policy, Governance and Development, and Quantitative and Qualitative Research Methods. I have experience in tutoring British, European, and American history.
Holding considerable skills in academic writing, I am here to help students improve and excel within essay, thesis, and dissertation writing as well as creating research proposals. I have a strong grasp of what is needed of students to succeed academically and I am well equipped to help enable them to achieve their goals.

My approach to teaching each of my students adapts depending on their needs. If students are struggling with assignments and essay writing, then that will be our focus. I can go through the methodology of essay writing and can actively work with them on writing style, research methods, analysis, and structure. I also like to go through students' written work with them, discussing and working on what can be improved or developed in order to achieve better grades.
I like to discuss and converse with students about topics and their class modules, whether it be in a relaxed or more formal debate-style format. By helping students deepen their understanding and independently form their own perspectives, I find their essay writing skills and levels of learning increase exponentially.
Particularly pupils in school, I firstly work with them on areas and topics they find challenging or are struggling with. If there are no specifics or we have worked through those, then I help them go through past papers and exam questions, identifying problem areas, and systematically work to overcome any key issues. Ensuring my students are familiar with marking criterium, I make sure that they know how to achieve top marks in homework and exams.
