About Alain
Welcome! I’m dedicated to helping people learn and enjoy French. My lessons are friendly, supportive, and designed to help you feel confident as you improve step by step.
I’m bilingual and fluent in French, and I have more than ten years of teaching experience abroad. I have worked with children, teenagers, and adults, and I always adapt my lessons to suit each student’s level, goals, and learning style.
Whether you’re learning French for school, work, travel, or personal interest, I aim to make lessons clear, engaging, and encouraging. I also place strong emphasis on pronunciation, because speaking clearly is key to understanding and communicating confidently in French.
My goal is to create a relaxed learning environment where you feel comfortable asking questions, practising, and making steady progress at your own pace.

My lessons are adapted to you — your level, your goals, and the way you learn best. Everyone learns differently, so I always try to make lessons comfortable, practical, and enjoyable.
During our sessions we focus a lot on listening and speaking, because the best way to learn a language is by using it. We practise through conversations, simple discussions, audio materials, and practical exercises that help you use French in real-life situations.
I also help students build vocabulary, improve pronunciation, and understand grammar clearly, so you can express yourself more naturally and confidently. I explain things step by step and always make sure you feel comfortable asking questions.
My lessons are relaxed and supportive, and I encourage you to practise without worrying about making mistakes — that’s part of learning.
I work with beginners, intermediate learners, and students who want to improve their spoken French. Whether you’re learning French for school, travel, work, or personal interest, I’m here to help you progress and feel more confident using the language.
All lesson materials are organised and shared through Google Classroom so you can easily access them anytime. I also show students how to use helpful browser extensions that support language learning, including tools to record themselves speaking, add French accent signs when typing, and write or annotate directly on PDFs.
I also maintain a detailed Google Sheets document that organises and tracks materials from around 20 French learning books, allowing me to select and share the most useful exercises and explanations for your level and goals.
I regularly share useful resources such as websites and YouTube videos for extra practice and revision, and the videos can be watched directly inside Google Classroom without the usual distracting adverts.
