I enjoy seeing students progress in their Chinese language skills, especially those from English-speaking backgrounds who face unique challenges. I emphasize straightforward teaching methods, integrating pinyin, bilingual explanations, and interactive activities to help students feel confident and engaged. My research and teaching focus on overcoming first language interference.

My lessons are open for students who come from English background families. I have studied this in my master's of Chinese study. For me, storytelling can help primary students learn more. I currently prefer primary students and allocate 2 hours to act as a tutor.
