About Becky
Hello!
I am an experienced and certified guitar tutor with 10 years of teaching experience with students from beginner to advanced level.
I teach from my fully-equipped home studio in Kemptown, BN2 1HJ. The light and airy space doubles up as a kitted-out recording studio, with an array of electric, acoustic and bass guitars and pedals available. A cosy sofa, display of art and low lighting sets the atmosphere for homely and comfortable guitar lessons. (Pay-and-display parking is available on the road outside, and buses 7, 47 & 37B stop closeby.)
With 17 years of guitar-playing under my belt, as well as experience as a music composer and producer - I offer well-rounded lessons. I've played in bands since childhood, working at Abbey Road Studios, gigging extensively nationwide and having my music featured in the likes of Clash Magazine.
I ensure my lessons are engaging and fun - focussed on really PLAYING music - with necessary theory thrown in when needed. I make sure each pupil has a bespoke approach, so you get exactly what you want from our lessons. I wish for everyone to feel the joy and freedom of expression of being a musician - and it’s never too late to start learning.
I offer free 30 minute taster sessions and have guitars available for use if necessary. Lessons are £30 after that, and for block bookings of 10 lessons, one is thrown in for free.

My lessons are fun and fulfilling. Music is about enjoyment - my lessons are less about the nitty gritty theory, and more about playing amazing music! You'll learn chords and scales for the prime reason of being able to jam, which we finish with in every lesson.
