About Simon
I am a passionate and knowledgeable fashion industry professional with extensive experience, having worked with over 30 different brands and retailers across the UK and Scandinavia. My career as a fashion designer has made me highly adaptable, resourceful, and versatile, shaped by the diverse companies I have collaborated with. This experience directly informs my approach as a lecturer, as I understand the challenges students face when transitioning from education to industry. I am approachable, highly experienced, and deeply supportive. Having worked across numerous disciplines, I am confident in my ability to guide and empower students towards successful careers in the fashion industry.

Approach: Industry-Focused I support and guide students in transitioning from academia to meaningful careers in the fashion industry. My teaching methodology adapts to different skill disciplines and student learning styles, ensuring an inclusive and effective learning experience. With extensive and varied professional experience, I am highly adaptable and resourceful, allowing me to cater to diverse learning needs. I teach at Solent University across eight different modules and serve as Level 5 Tutor. I deliver instruction across all fashion design disciplines for Levels 4, 5, and 6. Additionally, I teach at Winchester School of Art in a similar capacity, specialising in supporting international students. Lesson lengths vary from 30 minutes to 1 hour.
