About Susan
I am a former special education assistant, with several years working in public schools under my teaching belt. I am a native English speaker, and have studied Italian, French and Spanish. I've worked with the online English teaching company Say abc out of Beijing, China, and have homeschooled my own children with great success.

My teaching approach really depends on the skill level of the student, which is assessed at the beginning of our courses together. I try to work on an individual basis with each student, focusing on specific needs, and building a strong phonetic foundation. From that point on, we focus on separate skill sets.
