About Jess
I am a reliable private tutor, who is Manchester/ Cheshire based. I have been tutoring for over six years now and have a grown a large clientele. I specialize in a range of subjects, 11+, Biology, History, English and Maths GCSE. I also help students who are just starting Secondary school and would like to get ahead of the curriculum in the main subjects such as the sciences, languages, math and English.
I have guided many students from different backgrounds.
My teaching is unique to my individual students. I like to understand how my students best benefit from my way of teaching. That is why my one to one sessions are so popular, as I take the time out to understand my students and how they absorb information.
Students see me not only as a tutor but as someone who has gone through this process of education and can give them advice and support. I have found from my own experience, a teacher can make or break a subject. I like to help build confidence in all my students, and I want them to be able to feel comfortable asking questions. I work patiently to help each student to get the most out of each session.
My GCSE's consisted of an A* in English literature and English language.

Tutoring Experience
I have been tutoring now for over six years, and all my students have passed their 11+ exams for Stockport Grammar School, Cheadle Hulme Grammar School, Manchester High School for girls and boys and Withington Grammar. Additionally, I have helped students who were working at a C grade at GCSE to an A*.
