About Jo
Hello! I'm an English tutor based in Devon with a degree in English and Creative Writing. I'm passionate about helping students of all ages unlock their full potential.
Currently, I work with Action Tutoring, supporting both primary and secondary pupils to build confidence and achieve their academic goals. Whether you're looking to strengthen core literacy skills, explore creative writing, prepare for exams, or develop a deeper appreciation for literature, I tailor each session to your individual needs and learning style.
I believe that learning should be engaging, encouraging, and accessible. My approach combines structured teaching with creativity and enthusiasm, ensuring that every student feels supported and motivated. I've seen firsthand how the right guidance can transform a student's relationship with English.
I'm happy to work with students at any level, from those needing extra support with the basics to those aiming for top grades or pursuing a love of reading and writing.
