About James
I am English from UK, and I have over 14 years experience in teaching. I have a good understanding of the Dutch National exam programs for English (MAVO, HAVO and VWO), and have a solid, working knowledge of the Dutch language. I was also a teacher trainer at the HvA for 9 years, helping adult teachers to develop their english and understanding of how to teach languages.

I start each course with a good conversation with the students about what they need, and what they want from the lessons. I focus on this goal, so that the students do not have to. The process of learning is much more supple when people bring something to the learning environment: something that they are interested in. From this point of view, the development of linguistic diversity can go much faster.
