About Alice

I’m Alice — a warm, down-to-earth and highly capable tutor with over 5 years of experience helping students from Years 3 to 12 gain confidence in English. I’m also in my final year of a Bachelor of Radiation Therapy, which means I bring not just academic excellence, but patience, structure, and care to every lesson. I’ve worked with students of all learning styles — from those struggling to catch up, to those aiming for top band results — and I pride myself on making English feel less confusing and more achievable. Many of my past students have gone from failing grades to high distinctions in just one term. My lessons are tailored, thoughtful, and designed to build both skills and confidence. I believe in creating a calm, supportive space where students feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow at their own pace.
My teaching approach is student-centred and goal-driven. I begin by identifying each student’s strengths, areas for growth, and what motivates them. From there, I personalise each session with a mix of guided practice, interactive discussion, and real-world examples — whether we’re working on a tricky assignment or prepping for NAPLAN or ATAR exams.
I teach students from Years 3 to 12, across all English levels — from students needing literacy support to high achievers wanting to refine their essay writing and analysis. I also have experience supporting ESL students and learners with diverse needs, including ADHD and ASD.
️ Each lesson typically runs for 60 minutes, but I also offer 90-minute sessions for students preparing for exams or wanting more in-depth feedback and practice. Lessons are delivered exclusively online using Zoom, with optional lesson summaries and homework support provided after each class.
I’ve been tutoring for over 5 years and I’m currently completing my Bachelor of Radiation Therapy. My strong academic background in communication, critical thinking, and healthcare gives me a unique ability to simplify complex ideas, break things down clearly, and make English feel manageable.
