About Richard
I’m a fully qualified secondary school teacher with over 12 years of experience delivering Maths, ICT, and Business Studies across a range of UK schools. I’ve supported hundreds of students from diverse backgrounds, helping them gain the skills and confidence they need to succeed in their GCSEs and A-Levels. I understand that every student learns differently, so I tailor my approach to each individual; whether they need to fill knowledge gaps, prepare for exams, or simply build confidence in a subject they find challenging. I’m passionate about education and take pride in creating a calm, supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring ideas. I combine patience, structure, and encouragement to help students take real steps forward. My aim is always to help learners not just improve their grades, but truly understand the subject—and enjoy the process along the way.

As a qualified teacher with over 12 years of classroom experience, I bring a calm, supportive, and student-focused approach to online tutoring. I specialise in GCSE and A-Level Maths, ICT, and Business Studies, working with students aged 11–18 of all abilities. My lessons are tailored to each individual’s needs and learning style, helping them build confidence and take ownership of their progress. I use clear explanations, interactive exercises, and real-world examples to make complex ideas more relatable and easier to understand. A typical session lasts 60 minutes, with regular feedback and revision techniques built in to support exam success. Whether a student needs help catching up, preparing for exams, or stretching further, I create a positive learning environment where they feel supported, challenged, and motivated.
