About Erin
I received a Masters of Arts and Teaching from Willamette University. I have taught at the elementary level for 22 years in Salem and have had the privilege of teaching hundreds of students over the years. I taught fifth grade most of my career and my goal has always been to make sure all of my students could walk into middle school confident they are ready to learn.
Most recently, I have been teaching English to students in China, so I’ve had lots of practice teaching online.

As a classroom teacher of 22 years, I love teaching all of my students. However, working one on one or in a small group is where the real magic can happen. This is where you get to see what a student really knows and where your help is most needed so the student can understand and feel confident.This may mean teaching the lesson directly, or modifying the way the lesson is taught. The lessons might include pictures, chants, TPR, manipulatives, real world examples, or really, whatever it takes to make sure the student is learning and knows they can do it!
The lesson structure will match the needs of the individual or group of students.
