About Zeth
Good to Know About Justin Rogers:
Hello to all passionate learners and curious minds!
I am Justin Rogers, and I'd like to invite you on a unique educational journey tailored to your individual needs. With a rich tapestry of experiences ranging from academia to corporate leadership, my goal has always been to bridge the gap between theory and real-world applications.
My academic credentials speak volumes about my dedication to the world of knowledge. With a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Chemistry from the prestigious Dalhousie University and a Master of Science in Chemistry from Acadia University, my foundation in the sciences is robust. Currently, I'm pursuing a Master of Education, specializing in both Early Childhood and High School Education, from the University of the People. This continuous pursuit of knowledge ensures that I stay updated with the latest teaching methodologies, and it reflects my unwavering commitment to lifelong learning.
Beyond the textbooks, I've held leadership positions in various esteemed organizations. From managing a team at Capgemini and ensuring compliance at Lawton's Drug Store Wholesale Division to directing operations at Kaizena-Qooco and nurturing young minds at The Maritime Muslim Academy, my diverse roles have sharpened my skills in communication, organization, and adaptability.
However, what truly sets me apart is not just my credentials, but my genuine passion for imparting knowledge. My teaching philosophy emphasizes clarity, practicality, and engagement. I believe in creating a learning environment where questions are welcomed, where complex topics are made relatable, and where each session leaves you feeling empowered and inspired.
Outside of the professional realm, I have varied interests, from metalworking and prop-building to studying philosophy. Fun fact: I'm a ranked Jedi Knight at the Temple of the Jedi Order!
To all prospective students, I promise a learning experience that is not only educational but also engaging and enlightening. With attention to detail, a friendly demeanor, and a penchant for making subjects come alive, our sessions will be memorable, impactful, and most importantly, tailored to you.
Warmly,
Justin Rogers

My Approach as a Tutor and How I Share Knowledge:
Teaching Methodology and Techniques:
Drawing from my diverse academic background in both Chemistry and Psychology, I use an interdisciplinary approach to teaching. I prioritize clarity, ensuring that complex topics are broken down into more understandable segments. My experience in overseeing lab sessions and running student help groups at both Acadia University and Dalhousie University has taught me the value of hands-on learning. I emphasize practical applications, fostering an environment where students are encouraged to ask questions and engage in interactive discussions. Furthermore, my technical background aids in integrating real-world applications of theoretical concepts.
A Typical Lesson Plan:
Introduction: Brief overview of the topic, setting the context, and outlining what will be covered in the session.
Interactive Discussion: This involves probing questions to assess the student's current understanding and to encourage them to think critically about the topic.
Practical Application: Depending on the topic, this could involve real-world problem-solving, experiments, or case studies.
Recap and Reflection: Revisiting the main points covered, allowing students to reflect on their understanding, and providing room for any lingering questions.
Homework/Assignments: Tailored to the student's needs, aiming to reinforce the day's learning and prepare them for subsequent topics.
What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor:
My unique blend of experience in both the sciences and management roles has instilled in me a holistic understanding of academic content and its practical implications. My leadership roles, from the Director of Compliance at Lawton's to the Head of the Science Department at The Maritime Muslim Academy, have refined my organizational and communication skills, ensuring that lessons are structured yet flexible to cater to individual student needs. Furthermore, my continuous pursuit of education, as evidenced by my current studies in Early Childhood and High School Education, reflects my commitment to lifelong learning and staying updated with the latest teaching methodologies.
Who the Lessons are For:
Given my varied academic and professional background, I am well-equipped to teach:
Chemistry and Psychology to undergraduate students, building on my B.Sc. degree from Dalhousie University.
Advanced Chemistry lessons for Master's level students, drawing from my MSc in Chemistry from Acadia University.
Science lessons for middle school to high school students, as showcased by my experience as the Head of the Science Department at The Maritime Muslim Academy.
Moreover, my continuous education endeavors allow me to adapt to different learning needs and styles, catering to both early childhood and high school education students.
