My Tutoring Approach and How I Share Knowledge Teaching Method and Techniques My tutoring style is student-centered, adaptive, and interactive. I prioritize active learning, which means I encourage students to think critically, ask questions, and apply what they learn to real-world situations. I use a mix of methods tailored to the student’s needs and learning style, including: Socratic questioning to promote critical thinking Scaffolded instruction, gradually increasing difficulty Multimedia tools (presentations, videos, simulations) to support visual and auditory learners Practical examples and roleplay for subjects like communication, business, and language learning Formative assessment like quick check-ins and summaries to ensure understanding before moving forward Typical Lesson Plan Each lesson is structured but flexible, generally following this flow: Warm-up & Review (5–10 mins): Quick recap of the last session or a short discussion question to activate prior knowledge Objective Setting (2–3 mins): I clearly state the goal(s) of the lesson Main Instruction (20–25 mins): I explain the topic using guided notes, examples, and interactive questioning Practice & Application (15–20 mins): Students work on activities—problem-solving, writing prompts, or case studies Feedback & Wrap-Up (5–10 mins): We reflect on what was learned, answer remaining questions, and set goals for next time Homework or supplemental resources are shared if the student wishes to go deeper. What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor Real-world experience: I combine academic training (MBA in progress) with professional experience in business, education, and communication. This helps me bridge theory and practice. Empathy and cultural sensitivity: I’ve taught diverse learners—first-generation students, English language learners, and adult learners—so I create an inclusive, respectful environment where students feel safe to grow. Bilingual teaching: I offer lessons in English and Turkish, and I can support multilingual learners navigating both academic content and language learning. Flexible and responsive: Whether a student needs help preparing for a test, building confidence in public speaking, or tackling business case studies, I customize the plan accordingly. Who My Lessons Are For High school and college students, especially in business, communication, and 21st-century skills Adult learners and professionals preparing for job interviews, presentations, or career transitions ESL/ELL students needing support in academic English or conversational fluency Turkish speakers learning English, or English speakers learning Turkish Whether you're pursuing a GED, associate’s or bachelor’s degree, or simply want to sharpen your professional skills, my goal is to meet you where you are and help you go further.
