About Naseebullah
I work hard to create an environment where students feel supported and capable from the very first session. My approach is calm, structured and fully personalised, which helps learners grow in confidence quickly. With over seven years of teaching OCR GCSE and A Level Computer Science, a strong academic background and real industry experience, I bring both subject expertise and practical insight to every lesson. Techniques and teaching methodology: I focus on breaking complex Computer Science concepts into simple, manageable steps. Lessons include guided explanations, live modelling, exam-style practice, and lots of opportunities for students to apply what they’ve learnt independently. I tailor every session to the learner’s ability, learning style and confidence level. I also use spaced retrieval, structured revision plans and regular low-stakes quizzes to help students retain knowledge over time. Typical length of a lesson: A standard session is a minimum of one hour, with the option to extend to 90 minutes for deeper topics like algorithms, programming, data representation or exam technique. For GCSE and A Level students, one hour weekly tends to provide the best balance of progress and retention. Qualifications and experience: I am an experienced Computer Science teacher and former Head of Department with over seven years of teaching OCR GCSE and A Level Computer Science. I hold a First Class degree in Computer Software Engineering from the University of Greenwich and have industry experience as a software developer. I currently teach and train staff, develop curricula, and I am completing the NPQTLD to further strengthen my practice.
