I have experience tutoring students from grades K-10, in a variety of subjects, from elementary mathematics and sciences to AP Calculus and AP Biology. In order to teach students a subject they are having difficulty in, I start off my explaining the topic in a concise yet thorough way. After the explanation, I encourage my student to try to explain the topic to me in return. This allows me to understand the student's comprehension of my explanation. Following this, I ask the student to complete a few problems to practice, and then review their answers with them so they understand what was correct and what they should improve upon. I emphasize the concept of correction and understanding instead of simply focusing on completion, as it ensures the student's complete understanding of the topic.

Details
For higher-level AP or College Level courses, I charge a higher rate (this can be negotiated depending on the students requirements). I also charge a $5 fee for cancellations that are not made 24 hours prior to the lesson.
