About Ashelly
Hello! My name is Huiwen, and I am a professional Chinese teacher with over 12 years of teaching experience. I am currently teaching Chinese at a language school in Australia and have helped students from complete beginners to advanced levels.
Good interaction between the teacher and students is one of the most important parts of language learning. In my classes, students have many opportunities to practice speaking, listening, and using Chinese actively. I create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students can gradually build confidence and speak Chinese naturally.
Every lesson is carefully designed based on each student’s background, interests, learning goals, and personal needs. I adjust the teaching pace according to the students’ progress, so learners can truly understand, absorb, and internalize what they learn before moving forward.
I focus on teaching quality rather than quantity or speed. Instead of rushing through materials, I make sure students fully master the lesson content through interactive practice, practical examples, and step-by-step guidance. My goal is to help students not only “learn” Chinese, but also confidently use it in real-life communication.
As an English major and a long-term Australian resident, I understand how English speakers think and learn languages. I explain Chinese grammar and pronunciation clearly and logically, making Chinese easier, more practical, and more enjoyable to learn.

Hi, I’m Huiwen, a passionate and patient Chinese teacher with 12 years of teaching experience. I am currently teaching Chinese at a language school in Australia and have helped students from complete beginners to advanced levels.
My lessons focus on practical and real-life Chinese. I use simple explanations, interactive activities, and effective pronunciation training to help students build confidence in speaking Chinese naturally. For beginners, I specialize in teaching pinyin in a fun and memorable way, so students can quickly improve their pronunciation and start having basic conversations.
I also help students rebuild their Chinese foundation by improving pronunciation, grammar, and speaking fluency step by step. My classes often include useful daily-life topics such as ordering food, shopping, renting apartments, and traveling in Chinese-speaking environments.
As an English major and a long-term Australian resident, I understand the learning challenges English speakers face. I explain Chinese grammar with English logic, making Chinese easier and more enjoyable to learn.
My lessons are suitable for teenagers and adults, from total beginners to intermediate and advanced learners, including students preparing for HSK or TOCFL exams.
