About Cole
I have over 9 years of teaching experience in chemistry and hold an MSc in Industrial Chemistry. My focus is computational chemistry and theoretical prediction. Students learn how computers model chemical reactions. I teach quantum calculations for molecular structure analysis. We examine electron density and energy changes. Molecular dynamics projects provide practical experience. Students use simulation software step by step. I guide them through troubleshooting and evaluation. Many research students improve their computational research skills. They gain analytical confidence. Chemistry becomes logical and systematic. You will develop into a confident and well-rounded chemist with strong computational abilities.

My Chemistry teaching is thoughtful, reflective, and centred on understanding. I start with mathematical foundations to support complex topics. Physical chemistry is introduced as the study of molecular behaviour and energy. Quantum mechanics reveals the hidden rules governing atoms and electrons. Thermodynamics explains how energy is stored, transferred, and transformed. Statistical mechanics bridges microscopic randomness and macroscopic order. Reaction kinetics, spectroscopy, and molecular modelling are also explored. Lessons are paced carefully to avoid overwhelm. Real-world examples bring abstract concepts to life. DIY biology thinking encourages hands-on experimentation. Science fiction is used to imagine complex systems and visualise abstract phenomena. Equations are tools for reasoning, not just formulae to memorise. Students are encouraged to reflect and question deeply. Support is constant, helping learners grow in confidence. Independent thinking is nurtured at every step. Each student is guided to develop their unique approach to learning. Curiosity, creativity, and logic are valued equally.
