About Alex
I'm a very experienced and friendly tutor, with a wealth of experience in academia. I am currently researching Parkinson's Disease as part of my PhD at the University of Cambridge and I hold a first-class degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Oxford. I aim to make my lessons tailored to each individual student to help them learn best and show them how they can achieve the highest grades at GCSE, A Level and university as I did.

My lessons target the students' individual weaknesses, that I identify in the first lesson and build a tailored programme for them to help them achieve the highest grades. I also have a huge bank of notes to provide students with alongside my lessons, which are typically an hour. Perfect! Understands the subject and was great at coaching for interview. Only point we would make is that intensity dropped after the first lesson, but probably to be expected with all.

Perfect! Alex is a diligent and thoughtful teacher. He is always on time, well prepared for the lesson. He is very clear in his explanations and knows the GCSE curriculum really well. He has been an inspiring role model in sciences for my daughter, encouraging and caring.

Alex helped me with my interview for Oxford University. He gave me several useful tips from firsthand experience that I wouldn't of found online which resulted in me securing an offer. I definitely recommend him as a tutor.
He helped me learn and understand hard topics easily, and managed to make it entertaining and engaging
Alex is a great tutor who helped me improve massively in Biology, and was particularly helpful right before my exams.
