I am Sir Whey - an educator, a tutor, and a previous student (many years ago) that wants to help other students excel in the subjects that they need support in. I have been teaching Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics for 3 years. I specialize in Lower Secondary and IGCSE Mathematics, with a strong focus on the spiral curriculum approach — building a solid foundation first, then revisiting concepts in increasingly advanced applications. This method helps students from Years 7–10 develop long-term understanding, improve retention, and confidently solve problems regardless of how questions are presented in exams.
My tutorials are designed around each student’s individual pace and learning style. Sessions begin with a clear review of core concepts, followed by guided practice and progressively challenging exercises to strengthen both understanding and problem-solving skills. Regular progress assessments are also integrated to track improvement and refine lesson plans accordingly.
Beyond improving grades, I aim to make Mathematics more approachable and less intimidating. By simplifying complex ideas and avoiding unnecessary jargon, I help students build confidence, critical thinking skills, and a more positive relationship with the subject.
