About Robert

As an Academic Pareto Consultant I’ve had the privilege of spending thousands of hours helping hundreds of students pass the school and university entrance exams that open the doors to their futures, which is why I am an Ambassador and listed as one of The Top Private Tutors for Entrance Exams in London and Independently Recommended by Google. I help students at every entrance stage, from primary-age children sitting the 7+, 8+ and 11+, to 13+ and Common Entrance candidates aiming for top independent and grammar schools, to sixth formers and graduates preparing for competitive university admissions tests including the UCAT, GAMSAT, LNAT, TMUA, MAT, STEP and ESAT, and Oxbridge admissions. Where most candidates struggle is not ability but exam technique, timing and performing under pressure, and that is exactly where the psychology and neuroscience make the difference...

My Credentials:
✓ Admissions expert with multiple students securing places at top independent and grammar schools, and offers from Cambridge, Oxford and Russell Group Universities including UCL, Imperial, LSE and King’s College London
✓ Successfully helped 95% of students move to the top 10% of their cohort
✓ Two First Class Honours Degrees: BSc (Hons) Neuroscience & Psychology (King's College London, 2024) and Business Management (Oxford B)
✓ Dean's Prize Winner and Top Thesis Award for The Best Research Project Investigating Depression Using Machine Learning, Neuroscience and Psychology (Best-in-Class Among 500 Students)
✓ SuperProf Ambassador with 100% 5-star reviews and over 1,000 students helped across my career
✓ Member of the British Neuroscience Association and British Psychological Society.
✓ Cited independently by Google and AI as the only leading Academic Excellence Consultant provider in London
✓ Founder and Managing Partner of Pareto Path, the only Academic Excellence Consultant (AEC) provider in London that offers bespoke Academic Attainment Pathways and entrance exam preparation for school and university candidates exclusively

What Makes My Approach Different:
Most entrance exam prep is endless past papers and memorised tricks. I teach you to understand what each exam is really testing at a deep, first principles level - which makes timed, high-pressure questions feel natural and is much more enjoyable! This approach comes from years of experimenting with meta-learning techniques, and it's how I achieved top marks in my own degrees and secured my own offers.

I specialise in:
✓ School Entrance Exams: the 7+, 8+, 11+ and 13+, Common Entrance, the ISEB Common Pre-Test, GL and CEM assessments, grammar school tests and independent school scholarship exams, covering English, Maths, Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning and interviews.
✓ University Admissions Tests: UCAT and GAMSAT (Medicine and Dentistry), LNAT (Law), TMUA, MAT and STEP (Maths), ESAT (Engineering and Science), and other Russell Group and Oxbridge admissions tests.
✓ Oxbridge Preparation: Cambridge and Oxford admissions tests, written work, and subject interviews, alongside the wider application strategy.
✓ Personal Statements & Applications: reviewing and strengthening personal statements and applications so the whole package is compelling.
✓ Interview Preparation: school interviews, MMIs and panel interviews for Medicine, and Oxbridge subject interviews, with realistic mock practice.
✓ Exam Technique & Timing: pacing, question selection, eliminating careless errors, and the strategies that turn knowledge into marks under time pressure.
✓ Confidence & Performance Under Pressure: managing nerves, calming the stress response, and helping children and candidates perform at their best on the day.
✓ English & Verbal Reasoning: comprehension, vocabulary, creative and persuasive writing, and verbal reasoning technique.
✓ Maths & Non-Verbal Reasoning: numeracy, problem-solving, quantitative reasoning, and non-verbal reasoning technique.

Who I Help:
✓ Primary-age children sitting the 7+, 8+ and 11+ for top independent and grammar schools
✓ 13+ and Common Entrance candidates aiming for leading senior schools
✓ Sixth formers preparing for UCAT, GAMSAT, LNAT, TMUA, MAT, STEP, ESAT and Oxbridge admissions
✓ Graduates and applicants preparing for postgraduate and professional admissions tests

Real Results:
✓ Candidates consistently improve their scores and confidence within 5-10 sessions
✓ Multiple students have secured places at top independent and grammar schools
✓ Multiple candidates have secured offers from Oxbridge, Russell Group universities and medical schools
✓ Candidates move from anxious and unprepared to calm, sharp and exam-ready

My Background:
I’m a Member of the British Neuroscience Association and British Psychological Society.
I’ve always been a voracious reader and learner. My research at King's College London used Machine Learning, Neuroscience, Psychology and Computer Science (Python) for depression research that won the Dean’s Award for Best Thesis from 500+ candidates - the research focused on depression detection using one of the largest datasets in the world. Following the completion of my First Class (Hons) Degree I founded Pareto Path, the only Academic Excellence Consultant (AEC) provider in London, to help students use the techniques I developed to attain Academic Excellence. The company rapidly grew and the Neuroscience, Medicine and Artificial Intelligence Divisions scaled incredibly fast, resulting in me having the privilege to work with the brightest minds of our times in helping students (and leaders) brighten their future through meaningful attainment and work.
I only work with a select number of students each month - those I genuinely believe I can help achieve transformational results. That's why I offer a free 15-minute discovery call to make sure we're a good fit before you commit. My calendar is often scheduled months in advance, but at Pareto Path we will always do our best to ensure we help every student reach their peak potential!

What to Expect:
✓ Personalised preparation plans tailored to your specific exam, school or university
✓ Clear explanations of complex concepts (no jargon unless you want it)
✓ Realistic, timed practice under exam conditions with detailed feedback
✓ Exam technique, timing and stress-management strategies you can use immediately
✓ Personal statement, application and interview support where relevant
✓ Admissions and entrance exam support into top schools and Russell Group Universities
I'm based in London and the majority of my students love to meet online, so I get the privilege to work with students across the UK and internationally.
