About Axel
Hi! My name is Axel, and I'm an ESL teacher with 5 years of experience. I'm passionate about helping students of all ages and levels reach their English language goals.
I believe that the best way to learn a language is through communication, and I tailor my lessons to the individual needs of each student. I understand that every student has different learning needs and objectives, and I am committed to providing students with the support and guidance they need to succeed.
I also believe that students should be in charge of their own learning. I am here to guide and support my students, but I want them to feel empowered to take ownership of their learning. I encourage my students to ask questions, make mistakes, and take risks. I want them to feel comfortable exploring their interests and developing their own language skills.

Discussions: Discussions allow students to practice using English to express their ideas and opinions. For example, we might discuss current events or social issues.
Authentic materials and activities: I use a variety of authentic materials and activities to make learning English relevant and engaging. For example, we might read articles from newspapers or watch videos from YouTube.
Role-playing: Role-playing is a great way for students to practice using English in different real-world situations. For example, we might role-play a conversation at a restaurant or a job interview.
A typical lesson plan of mine might look like this:
Warm-up: I start the lesson with a warm-up activity to get students talking and engaged. For example, we might discuss a current event or play a word game.
New material: I then introduce the new material for the lesson. For example, we might learn new vocabulary or grammar structures.
Practice: After introducing the new material, I give students the opportunity to practice using it in different activities. For example, we might do role-playing, discussions, or authentic materials activities.
