About Tiras
Hello! My name is Tiras McNeal, and I’m a passionate Agricultural Science tutor with a background in animal science, 4-H youth leadership, and hands-on field experience. I’m currently pursuing a degree in Animal Science with a focus on Wildlife Veterinary Medicine, and I’ve dedicated myself to helping students succeed both inside and outside the classroom. I specialize in making agricultural topics clear, engaging, and relevant to real-world applications. My tutoring sessions are structured, interactive, and tailored to meet each student’s learning style and goals. I’ve led youth seminars, Bible study groups, food bank drives, and community events — all of which have strengthened my ability to teach, lead, and connect with students.

As an Agricultural Science tutor, I focus on making lessons practical, engaging, and tailored to each student’s needs. My teaching method blends interactive discussions, real-world examples, and hands-on learning techniques that help students not only understand the material but see its relevance in everyday life and future careers. I believe students learn best when they’re actively involved, so I use visuals, guided questions, videos, and case studies from real agricultural practices.
A typical lesson begins with a quick review of previous content, followed by introducing new concepts using clear explanations and examples. Then, we move into interactive problem-solving, scenarios, or short quizzes to reinforce understanding. Each session ends with a summary and a few practice tasks or discussion points to reflect on before the next lesson.
What sets me apart is my field experience, 4-H youth leadership background, and passion for mentorship. I aim to connect students with the bigger picture—whether that’s preparing for college, understanding sustainable agriculture, or pursuing veterinary science. I create a safe space where students feel encouraged, heard, and motivated to grow.
My lessons are ideal for high school and early college students studying agricultural science, biology, or animal science. I especially enjoy supporting students preparing for FFA, 4-H competitions, STEM fairs, or those pursuing degrees in veterinary medicine or agricultural careers.
