About Claire
I am a Spanish tutor with more than 7 years of experience and a BA in Comparative Literature. My teaching integrates Spanish language learning with the study of visual arts and architecture. Students examine artistic styles, critiques, and architectural forms from Spanish-speaking countries. We discuss symbolism, historical context, and cultural significance in artworks and landmarks. This method strengthens descriptive vocabulary, critical thinking, and cultural literacy. Lessons include analyzing paintings, sculptures, and buildings in Spanish. I guide students in expressing observations and interpretations clearly and creatively. Each session encourages immersive participation and artistic engagement.
