About Naomi
I am a Biology tutor with over 4 years of experience and a MSc in Biotechnology. My passion lies in Marine Biology, especially the fascinating ecosystems of the deep sea. I love exploring hydrothermal vents, the mysteries of bioluminescence, and the extreme adaptations of deep-sea organisms. I guide students in understanding how life thrives under immense pressure, darkness, and cold. Together, we examine the challenges of ocean exploration and the innovative methods scientists use to study these hidden worlds. My teaching emphasises biodiversity, ecological processes, and the delicate balance of deep-sea habitats. I use real examples and research studies to make these concepts vivid and engaging. Lessons combine curiosity-driven discussion with critical thinking and observation skills. Students learn to appreciate both the complexity and beauty of life in the ocean depths. My teaching approach in Biology is gentle, reflective, and focused on nurturing curiosity about the microscopic world. I cover core topics like Cell Biology, Genetics, and Physiology, while also exploring Microbiology, Bacteria and Viruses, Disease Transmission, and Public Health Biology. I aim to help students see connections between tiny organisms and their impact on health and the environment. I guide students through careful observation, critical thinking, and analysis of biological systems. Lessons combine clear explanations, practical examples, and interactive exercises to make complex concepts easier to grasp. I encourage students to develop their own perspective on how pathogens interact with hosts and how immunity works. Assignments and discussions are designed to strengthen understanding while celebrating curiosity. I help students build confidence in problem-solving, experimental design, and interpreting scientific data. Together, we explore both theory and real-world applications in medicine, research, and public health. Learning becomes thoughtful, engaging, and meaningful.
