About Emory
My interest in Excel began through fascination with data organization, reporting systems, and analytical problem solving. This passion inspired me to complete a PhD in Data Management and Business Analytics, where I studied data processing, analytical systems, and business intelligence methods in depth. During the past 7 years, I have guided students through lessons focused on confidence, efficiency, and technical growth.
I believe every learner improves differently, so I adapt my teaching style according to each student’s pace and practical needs. My approach focuses on patience, encouragement, and step-by-step explanation to help students understand Excel naturally without unnecessary pressure. Some learners improve through guided exercises, while others gain confidence through practical projects and workflow tasks. I carefully design lessons to create a motivating and supportive learning experience.
Outside teaching, I continue exploring spreadsheet tools, reporting systems, and business analytics resources to keep my lessons current and useful. Staying connected to data management allows me to bring practical understanding and real-world relevance into every class. My goal is to help students become confident Excel users who organize and analyze information efficiently. Supporting their technical development remains one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

My Excel lessons are designed to help students use spreadsheets confidently for academic, business, and professional tasks through practical and structured learning. I teach formulas, functions, charts, data organization, conditional formatting, pivot tables, sorting methods, and spreadsheet automation using clear and supportive instruction. Lessons focus on helping students understand how Excel tools work together instead of memorizing steps without understanding. I create a positive learning environment where learners feel comfortable practicing and improving steadily.
Each lesson is personalized according to the learner’s confidence level, goals, and technical experience. Beginners receive patient support with spreadsheet basics, formatting, and simple formulas, while advanced learners strengthen data analysis, dashboard creation, and automation skills. I include hands-on exercises, practical projects, troubleshooting activities, and workflow techniques to support balanced technical development. Students preparing for workplace tasks receive focused guidance for accuracy and efficiency.
I believe Excel becomes easier when students practice with realistic examples and understand the purpose behind each feature. My lessons help reduce confusion and replace it with confidence through supportive teaching and practical application. Many learners gradually become faster and more organized while working with data over time. My goal is to help students build strong Excel skills while enjoying the learning process.
