About Ophelia
I have developed extensive expertise in Excel through my fascination with data management and its ability to optimise decisions. I pursued a B.Sc in Information Systems and an M.Sc in Data Analytics, gaining both theoretical knowledge and applied skills in managing and analysing data. Over 9 years, I have guided students at different levels to master Excel’s full potential, building confidence, precision, and problem-solving abilities.
My teaching style emphasises hands-on learning, practical exercises, and interactive explanations. I encourage experimentation, critical thinking, and incremental mastery while providing structured guidance that addresses each learner’s unique needs. I focus on creating an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, testing approaches, and learning through doing.
Outside teaching, I stay updated on emerging data analysis tools, automation methods, and spreadsheet trends. This ensures lessons remain relevant, practical, and directly applicable to real-world challenges. Watching learners transform from hesitant beginners to confident, independent Excel users is deeply rewarding and inspires my ongoing commitment to teaching this essential skill.

My Excel lessons are designed to make spreadsheet work intuitive, engaging, and highly applicable to real-world tasks. I focus on teaching data entry best practices, formula creation, conditional formatting, pivot tables, charts, data visualisation, lookup functions, and macros. Every session combines step-by-step guidance, applied exercises, and practical examples so students understand not just how tools work, but why and when to use them effectively. This approach empowers learners to solve problems confidently and handle data efficiently.
For beginners, I emphasise foundational skills such as basic formulae, formatting, chart creation, and structured organisation of data. Intermediate learners progress to advanced formulae, data validation, pivot tables, and scenario analysis. Advanced learners work on automation using macros, dynamic dashboards, data modelling, and decision-support tools. Each lesson incorporates hands-on exercises, real-world problem-solving scenarios, and stepwise guidance to strengthen skill retention and practical application.
Excel education enhances analytical thinking, data interpretation, and structured problem-solving. Students learn to process information, identify trends, and present insights clearly, which benefits academic, professional, and personal projects.
