About Carly
I developed a passion for Excel through projects that required efficient data management, problem-solving, and analytical reasoning. This led me to pursue a B.Sc in Computer Science and an M.Sc in Business Analytics, which helped me combine technical proficiency with analytical insight. Over the past 9 years, I have guided students in mastering both basic and advanced Excel skills for academic, professional, and personal projects.
I emphasize clarity, patience, and practical application. Many learners feel overwhelmed by functions, formulas, or large datasets, so I break concepts into clear, manageable steps, provide real-world examples, and create a supportive environment that encourages experimentation and learning through practice. My goal is to ensure students understand not just how Excel works, but why it works that way, cultivating analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Beyond teaching, I continuously explore new Excel functionalities, automation techniques, and data visualization methods to keep lessons up-to-date and relevant. Seeing students progress from hesitation to competence, confidence, and independence is extremely rewarding. Supporting learners to gain both technical mastery and practical analytical skills is the most fulfilling part of my work.
