About Madilyn
My interest in Excel began during my early academic years when I realized how structured data could transform complex information into clear, actionable insight. This curiosity led me to pursue a B.Sc in Business Analytics, followed by an M.Sc in Information Systems, where I gained a strong foundation in data management, system design, and applied analytics. Over 11 years of teaching, I have worked with students and professionals from diverse backgrounds, helping them develop confidence in using Excel as a practical and strategic tool.
I approach teaching with patience and attentiveness, understanding that many learners feel overwhelmed by spreadsheets at first. I take time to understand each student’s goals, whether academic, professional, or personal, and adapt my instruction accordingly. By breaking down workflows into manageable steps and explaining the reasoning behind each action, I help learners build long-term confidence rather than dependency.
Outside teaching, I continue exploring data systems, productivity tools, and evolving software practices. This continuous engagement allows me to keep my lessons relevant and realistic. Teaching Excel is deeply rewarding because I see learners transition from hesitation to independence, gaining skills that immediately improve their efficiency and confidence.
