About Eve
I'm Eve, a second year undergraduate studying for a B.A. in history and English at Merton College, Oxford. I am highly passionate about these two subjects and I love helping students not just reach their academic potential in them, but also instilling enthusiasm about literature and the study of the past! I am also committed to improving university access and helping others on their journeys into higher education is also something I feel strongly about.

I offer online tutoring of GCSE and A-Level history and English, with a particular focus on improving essay writing and analysis of set literary texts. I also offer personal statement and university entrance advice and can help students prepare for the Oxford History Aptitude Test (the HAT) as well as build their confidence towards university interviews.
My lessons are an hour long and will focus on finding ways to use course content to build on essay and exam techniques in order to boost grades both by going through essays that the student has written in school and also working through new essay questions. My teaching aims to make students think for themselves while simultaneously offering the guidance they require when it comes to understanding new concepts.
I have a passion for teaching and would love to work with students to improve grades and improve university access. I look forward to working with you!
