About Maria
Olá!
I grew up and did my schooling in Portugal. In the early 90’s I moved to England and that’s where I spent most of my working / career life.
In England I worked in schools supporting students accessing education as well as reintegration. I completed my Diploma in Interpreting with Goldsmith University in London. As the need arose and in order to support students I embarked in doing an HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) accreditation, as well as a Post Graduate in Therapeutic Play Skills with Leeds Beckett University.
I recently completed a TEFL (Teach English as a Foreign Language) qualification.
After Covid I spent 4 years in Portugal working on a property renovation project.
Now in the UK I am back to what I love doing- teaching!
I am a very active person. I enjoy walking and cooking.

My lesson structure is relaxed, designed to make you feel comfortable from the word go and tailored to your individual needs.
In lessons we cover practical communication, listening and speaking, grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.
Lesson duration: 60 minutes.
